 Creative Assignment: 2D Design Fabrication Project 

For this project, Joyce and I worked together to create a small container for collecting “spring.” We laser cut a series of spring themed patterns we found online and assembled them onto a 3D printed box, allowing the cutouts to wrap around the surface and build a layered, decorative structure. The process involved balancing the flat, graphic quality of the laser cut pieces with the more solid form of the printed box. While our color choices didn’t turn out exactly as we hoped, we still like how the final piece came together, especially in how the patterns create a light, seasonal feeling across the surface.
